We invite you to participate in the International children’s drawing contest “Humanity inside the war”!

Applications for the international children’s drawing contest “Humanity inside the war” with partnership of UNESCO have started!

The project “Humanity inside the war” is based on the historical story “What an amazing guy”, written by Ferdinando Pascolo. “What an amazing guy” is a historical novel by Ferdinand Pascolo-alias “Silla” originally from Friuli, about an Italian soldier who first fought on the territory of the USSR, and then in the partisan resistance against the fascist regime in Italy.

The organizers of the International competition are the Association “Humanity inside the war” (Italy).

“Humanity inside the war” is an international children’s drawing competition for children, teenagers and youth from 7 to 19 years old. The competition is open to students of General education, art schools, studios, clubs, colleges, lyceums, institutions of additional education, students of secondary special educational institutions and individuals aged 7 to 19 years in three age categories from all countries recognized by the UNO:
– 7 to 10 years old
– 11 to 14 years old
– 15 to 19 years old

The competition is held in the following seven categories:
– “What an amazing guy” (Based on the book by Ferdinando Pascolo);
– “Connection of generations”;
– “Eternal memory” (On the basis of the monuments and war memorials);
– The memory of the fallen journalists in hot spots;
– “Family and faith” is the Contest of iconography;

Submission of applications for the contest is free of charge.

Applications are accepted from 22.06.2020 to 10.01.2021

200 selected works will be displayed at a ceremony in Italy, in Udine, among which 20 winners will be selected by category and age category. For the best works in each category (in each age category) participants will be awarded Diplomas, Certificates and valuable gifts (medals, cups and certificates), which will be awarded at the Official award ceremony in person or (if it is impossible to participate) sent to the address specified by the participant in the questionnaire.
